Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Trailer

Possibly one of my favorite game series is getting a new release October 11th. Here is the trailer for Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. Warning, it's 10 minutes long.

The story is written by New York Times bestselling author Jim DeFelice, and takes place in the year 2015. Lieutenant Colonel William Bishop, Leader of the Warwolf Squadron, is part of the NATO-led 108th Task Force, who are on a mission to stop an anti-government insurgency that is sweeping throughout the African continent. The 108th Task Force is part of a large multinational military force in Africa that includes U.N. troops as well as Russian support forces. 

The team soon discover that the insurgents have a new type of super weapon called "Trinity", and that they are being aided by an infamous Russian ace pilot and mercenary, Colonel Andrei "Akula" Markov. The race to secure the super weapon begins and the conflict soon engulfs the rest of the world.

New "Tales of..." Namco Bandai Game Announced In Less Than Two Days

What more is there to say, really? Namco Bandai is planning to announce a new "Tales of..." title in less than 48 hours. This is just on the heels of its Tales of Xillia release. Other than the fact that it is a new game in the series namesake, nothing else is known. Yet.

Man Who Stole PSP From Injured Student Caught By Police

MjolnirX - The gentleman asshole who assisted Malaysian student Ashraf Haziq minutes after having his jaw broken during the height of the London Riots, who then proceeded to arrogantly steal his PSP right out of his backpack, has been caught by Metropolitan Police.

First, Sony pledged to replace the stolen PSP, then Namco Bandai offered to throw in a few games as well, on a website dedicated to helping people who suffered in various ways during the London Riots. Now the guy who added insult to injury to the situation is getting his just desserts. The news could hardly be sweeter, though it's still a damn shame this ever happened in the first place.

Metropolitan police have released the identity of the coward: Reece Donovan of Romford. He is being charged with robbery for the theft of the PSP, thanks mostly to the citizen who filmed the incident as it happened. I can only imagine the public embarrassment this man will receive and what repercussions this will have on his personal and professional life.

Classy.

Inversion = Psi-Ops Reborn?

Castrum - So the Co-Op trailer for this has me seeing comparisons to a little-known game called Psi-Ops that I played back in the day on my Xbox. Hopefully, Inversion can emulate its gameplay enough to warrant a purchase:

Dark Souls Delayed

Castrum - Looks like Dark Souls has been delayed a week from its prior release date, to September 22nd.

Personally, I enjoyed what little I played of my Hong Kong International version of Demon's Souls, but I never got around to playing any more of it. Not sure if I'm picking this one up.
