Bringing yet another weird back-wards compatibility issue to the table, Sony has announced they are looking into and considering a discount for PSN versions of UMD games you own. They also note that just because they are looking into this, that it does not mean it will come to fruition.
How this service would work has not yet been revealed. I'm wondering if it would require you to insert the UMD into an old PSP with your PSN account, and have the info uploaded to your account. I'm also wondering how steep the discounts will actually be.
A problem that has been pointed out in the FAQ is that the Vita will be able to play all downloadable PSP Games, except the Game Archives section (of the Japanese PSN Store) which includes Neo Geo, PSone Classics, and other older titles.
